As a kid you’re taught that love is endless. That was the biggest fallacy I could of ever seen first hand. Love does run out. When it comes to an end, it reminds me of a plane crash. But not one of those safe landing plane crashes where everyone on board goes home to their loved ones. No, when true love ends it’s almost like the world stops spinning. It’s like your heart stops beating but you’re still alive and you feel every fucking heartstring being ripped out of your chest like the last breath you take on earth before you pass on and go to the afterlife. There’s not one soul on this earth that can prepare you for the feeling you experience when true love ends. Not one soul! See Jasper thought love was endless. He truly believed that if you loved someone hard enough they would get past any problem, any trouble that comes they’re way but that’s not the case. Jasper thought Catalina was going to stay forever that she was his and only his. The problem for jasper is Catalina is a stripper and its her job to cater to men, but jaspers to drunk to realize and doesn’t care he thinks its real. Like what he had with melody. While Catalina is servicing her “client” in the back room jasper is quietly loading the .38 snub nose revolver with a taped grip and modified trigger silently muttering to himself “whore” “slut” “melody how could you.” After taking his last sip of his near empty bottle of McCormick’s he closes the bathroom stall looks at himself in the mirror and heads to the main floor where he waits for Catalina. Clutching his .38 tightly in hand he remembers everything about his true love melody. Her hair, her smile, her laugh. Jasper starts to weep while remembering the girl that broke his heart. He sees Catalina coming from the backroom he takes the last sip of his flask that’s in his coat pocket grips the revolver and sends 4 shots into Catalina’s stomach. The crowd is all darting for exits, security is scrambling to find out what is going on. Jasper walks up to Catalina kisses her on the forehead and says “goodbye melody” and sends round number 5 through Catalina’s left temple watching half her brain fly out the massive hole on the right side of her head. As the last patron of the strip club exits the building the security guards look to close in on Jasper all while fearing the unknown. Jasper gives Catalina’s lifeless body a whiskey soaked kiss on the forehead turns to the security guard drops to his knees and says “Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free” just before sending round 6 through his damaged unhealthy brain. As Jaspers body lay on the dirty floor of the strip club that night, while the security guards waited for the police to arrive they all tried to understand what happened here. There was only one answer………..Love.
