I am excited for Monday as it has been announced as a National Day of Service in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr.
What I usually do to help fellow people is I buy a loaf or two of whole wheat bread. Some peanut butter and jelly, and then make sandwiches and hand them out to people on the street who appear to be in a tough situation or in need of a snack.
The cost is usually around twenty dollars. The time it takes to make the sandwiches is about an hour or two. Tomorrow, I will buy the fixings then get to work and be ready by Monday. It would be nice if I could find some cartons of milk as well. Milk and pb & j is the way to go.
I also live in a densely homeless populated area and donating clothes usually goes a long way. I might go through my clothes a bit and see what I can hand down.
I have contributed as much as I can muster, but making a day out of it annually is a good notion that has been set in place.
Hope you have a good day Monday in remembrance of MLK, and do something kind for another.

Wow, Franktank! That’s pretty cool. I hope you get the chance to this on Monday. You have a very distinct voice in your writing. I hope you get the chance to share more.
Thank you for participating in helping the homeless. Your acts of kindness go a long way and, I’m rather certain, other people are inspired by your doings.
I hope the day comes easy to you.
I look forward to hearing more from you!

I appreciate what you have done for the homeless. Not a lot of people are this determined to help the poor and I commend you for your kind doing. You are helping the society in innumerable ways, and aiding others in phenomenal ways as well.
Keep going strong!!
Went well. Made fifteen sandwiches. It wasn’t the easiest thing because I walked into their camping spots this time. But they were glad to have the extra snack.
All I can say is God Bless you, Franktank. And I am sure God is very happy at what you are doing.
