When you look at the city from way up here, you really see a lot more than when you’re on the bus. Even with the occasional wing in your way, you saw so many things. All the trees looked like broccolis, all the sidewalks looks like scribbled lines, and all the cars looked like toys. You really got used to seeing things this way. The wind blew through your hair and feeling like a superhero.
Dotty laid herself back against the smooth seat and closed her eyes. She loved being up here in the sky. She felt free and full of life. She let her mind wander into the land of clouds she always had in her head for escape. Nothing was better. Seeing the wisps around her looking like cotton candy and teddy bear stuffing. She wanted to reach out and run her hand through the fluff. BUMP!
Her eyes shot open and she sat up with a start. Her eyes darted around to see the cause. A flock of geese flew off in a broken V behind them. Jekyll was descending and must have nearly flown right into the geese. Where was HIS mind? He was the one flying. He wasn’t allowed to get distracted. Dotty gave him a little nudge with her heel. Jekyll looked one eye back at her.
“Did the geese just appear out of nowhere?” She asked him, with probably more sass than she needed to. He shot a look back at her and focused forward again.
Lower and lower they went until they landed in Falkor’s Park across the street from Dotty’s school. Dotty threw her left leg over the meet her right and gently slid down to the ground. She opened her backpack and took out a large tag. Turning around, she fastened it to the leg holster. Dotty turned on her heel and started on her way to the school. She heard a low growl-grunt and turned back around quickly. Jekyll gave her sad eyes and motioned his head in her direction.
“OH!” She ran back to the large scaly creature, and threw her arms around him. “I almost forgot!” Jekyll purred at the girl’s touch. “I’ll see you after school. Go find Misty and Charlie! Have fun!” Dotty turned again and ran off to her school.

This was an interesting little story. I really liked the use of the second person POV in the first paragraph, it really helped me engage with the story and see things from Dotty’s perspective.
However, I was confused about what exactly she was riding on. At first I thought she was just in a plane and Jekyll was the pilot, but when it becomes apparent that ‘s not case, I’m never replaced with a different image. Is it a dragon? Is it some other mythical creature?
That was how it was in Smoky Heights. People had dragons. Families had dragons. But it usually was the children that kept the dragons. Kids rode on their dragons to school, if they wished, and the dragons would stay at Falkor’s Park for the day, able to eat and sleep as they wished. It was a great way to live.
I forgot to paste this into here too.
I hope that helps clear it up
