I find myself drifting, drifting on a sea made of promises and “i will’s”. On this sea i am on a raft a raft made of dreams, hopes, love and the idea of happiness. I’m drifting so far away from a shore i no longer remember where i drifted from, lost in this sea of empty promises and dreams that may never come to light. My love is far from me so far i cant see the light of the love they give me. Its to the point i feel like i’m sinking, sinking and drowning in this world it seem’s the world itself is a sea, a sea of lies a sea of endless waves endless turmoil endless unhappiness. The person i love is the shore i seek, its the shore i so long for during the long stormy nights the hard days full of dread. And when i reach that shore i am filled with happiness with purpose, my purpose is them to love them to take care of them to support them and to always be there for them no matter how violent the storm is, no matter how rough the sea is, i will brave the coldest water, the harshest weather if it gives just one more second with them.
This may all seem like a senseless babbling of a love struck fool, and you’d be right the love i have for my love is so great nothing in this world compares to it, and nothing ever will. -Anon

I like how you use repetition. It makes the poem feel more haunting.
Ok so one thing I noticed was the lower case ‘i’ in this poem. I wonder what significance does this have. Or does it mean that you are lacking significance because of this love. I love how everything just runs together. I feel that that works with the whole “drifting” theme since water does run together.
The lines “it seem’s the world itself is a sea, a sea of lies a sea of endless waves endless turmoil endless unhappiness. The person i love is the shore i seek, its the shore i so long for during the long stormy nights the hard days full of dread.” are great. They reflect the dark side of the present day world we live in. I like the metaphoric reference to the real ——Well designed ….. kranand
While I read your piece, I was able to see the images vividly in my mind. I love poetry that clearly translates in my head! Well put!
