Little ghost with no place to sleep,
There are some ways you have hypnotized
Me,
When it is time to measure coffee into cups held by tired hands,
And when the daylight yawns, a duet with your lovely lips
You will find a place to rest while you are awake
Because you can always rest in me, my dear
Inside this body your soul is free

Nice apostrophe! I’ve noticed that you like to use enjambment, too, like Halieysasso. Perhaps you could also challenge yourself to play around with the device? (Think of enjambment like you’re punctuating prose, but breaking the lines up in a poetic way.)
Thank you so much for your feedback! Yes, right now I am trying to play with different devices and poetic forms.
Wow, that’s great to hear! I can’t wait to see what you decide to play with next. 🙂
