Dearest Child of mine, your crying brings me close
Red eyes betray toiled sight; the gaze inside is tragically froze
You breathe heavy as you labor, lungs rumbling in the storm within
Your body attempts to rest, but your ghost still chases the Wind
No escape from the cloak of Twilight; you crouch beneath the brush
You shiver under Night’s cold breath… A racked soul in Forest’s hush
You hug yourself to warm the chill; your action’s all in vain
For the coolness of Mourning’s dew drips while tears fall like Rain
Look up, my Earthen Cherub… I descend from the stars above
In Luna’s gossamer I flutter down; I take your hand in Love
You slowly start to calm as you behold my face in wonder
Your weeping breath softly whispers: “No more can I wander”
My hand to your head, I stroke your precious hair
My other strums a harp, to lull you in Peace so fair
I’ll sing you a song from Heaven; Mother Mary wrote it nigh
My voice and your soul become one… My Dear, close your eyes
I cradle you in Starlight… My Lamb, come Home with me
Jesus says you’ve suffered your time; as I fly you shall sleep
Just relax in my arms as I we pass through celestial skies
And when you wake in Eternal Life, in God’s Embrace you’ll never die
