She was nervous to get on stage. Her father signed her up, even when she told him profusely she didn’t want to do it. But even then, she turned out to be next in line for the audition. Her hands were shaking from nerves. “Come on Stage: Elizabeth Stroner” came the voice on the intercom. She shook her head and walked forward, onto the stage, where the bright lights that tricked her mind into thinking she’s in heaven. She cleared her throat and speaks in a voice the angels around her could only dream of having. “I am Elizabeth Stroner and am here to attempt to get a part in the upcoming play.” The judge looked up already caught by the sound of her voice like none other. She starts at a whisper to show fear and insecurity, but the look on her face, has the expression of love and care. She then starts to move; her posture exceptional, to where her movements seem swift and light. She’s bursting with power, colour, and spirit in to which is not her own. Her voice becomes strong and passionate. The judges are mesmerized by her. She goes on, every word just as strong as the next, her moves never hesitant. It seems as though she could replace God and take her rightful place in His throne. It ends… all is silent. She looks down at her hands, which are still shaking. She doesn’t remember ever starting, or ending. But by the looks on the judges’ faces, she had done something. Good or bad, she does not know. But instead of a grunt, or a cough, or a commanding voice telling her to “Leave” she hears applause. She stares up and doesn’t only see the bright lights she referred to as “heaven”. Instead she sees millions of people all watching her. The people around her, known as the cast, congratulated her and gave her proud smiles. She had done something right in this world and is prepared to do it again, telling stories that aren’t hers, nor ever will be hers. But the best she can do is retell, until they can’t be told again.

I love how you describe the emotions in this story. You say that Elizabeth is nervous, but then you also show her nerves in her actions and thoughts, which makes the emotion seem more real and makes me relate to Elizabeth more. Nice job!
