Look into her eyes,
She’s breaking inside,
And though it seems she’s always smilin’,
When no one’s around,
She’s cryin’,
Because even though she’s trying,
She’s barely survivin’,
Because while she may put up a happy front,
That’s all it is is just a stunt,
And if only you knew her past,
You’d realize why she’s so embarrassed,
Because she’s an outcast,
At least in her own abstract mind,
And she feels left behind
Because no one’s kind,
And she don’t realize
How much she shines,
Because she’s emotionally confined,
And you can see it in her eyes,
But she’s too shy
To let you know
How she’s breaking inside.

This is really powerful. I used to wish someone would just come and save me, but eventually I realized I had to ask for help first. Ten seconds of bravery could change your life, you know?
