Her heart jumps and begins racing, as the melody ushers in the call
With longing desire the greeting rolls out of her mouth
Great anticipation takes hold of her ears then, her heart skips a beat
With a voice of annoyance she tells the telemarketer to quit
He sent a message inviting her to dinner at their favorite restaurant
“That’s him” but it was the silhouette of her imagination he didn’t show up
