Change. It can happen any minute, any time or day . At first you are sipping wine at a gathering, listening in class, or reading a book. Next thing you know you’re in the hospital, the life getting sucked out of you like a go-go squeezer becoming compressed by a determined child. All of the precious breaths that you took; the all too familiar air of a hospital bedroom. You never knew what happened, only the result. That same result filled your mind like helium being blown into a balloon.. every moment it grew larger and larger, mounting your brain with insecurities and premonitions of what you might have done, or how you came to this state. You worry if someday that the balloon might pop, sending fragments of your brain across the floor, and leaving you thoughtlessly incompetent. Pretty soon the doctor comes in and tells you that what happened. Everything goes black.

This was an interesting piece to read. It was somewhat dark, but so is reality. The idea of being in a hospital, scared and confused is scary. “You wonder if the balloon might pop, sending fragments of your brain across the floor, and leaving you thoughtlessly incompetent.” This sentence is all too real; a reminder that death may be just around the corner.
That is so true. Death is inevitable, but it’s up to us to live vividly and making the best out of it until that day comes. Thank you for giving your opinion. I greatly appreciate it.
