An old man in the present day wore grey pants and a turtleneck. Only the reserved and long-lived dared to wear a turtleneck. But the old man fit the bill of the description, along with a scarf. His job that day was to feed the ducks in the pond at the park.
A homeless man asked for some bread as well. The old man had packed a lunch and handed him an apple along with the bread. They both had been aware of each other on multiple occasions. The old man was slightly untrusting of the homeless man. And the homeless man seeing the commendable old man had everything to gain.
The old man fed him so he would not attack. The homeless man did not attack because the old man may feed him again some other day.

This was so calming to read. I haven’t read any of other chapters in this short series, but now I am compelled. I loved the description of the turtleneck in the beginning; does that make me reserved or long lived? Guess we will never know. I also loved the brevity because it added to its simplicity and delicacy. I think if this were a painting, it would be a Rockwell. Amazing job and will read all the other chapters if they are uploaded!
Thank you so much. These short stories kind of change and intermingle I suppose. Each one is so different, but I go places in each story. This piece is kind of candid. I am not sure what the other pieces hold for the audience, but we shall find out. Thanks for the starting feedback.
