“Mph.” Gray opened his eyes. His head was throbbing. He held it in agony. “ughh!” He groaned and opened his eyes once more.
At first he thought he saw two moons through his jet black bangs. Both pink. One full, one half. He tried to sit up , however, some sort of weight held him down. “What the hell is this?!? Some sort of sleep paralysis?!?” Then. Everything faded to white. “My sweet Gray.” Gray’s eyes widened. He was now standing. His surrounding were completely engulfed in white. He looked around in panic. “Where in the hell am I??” He thought completely petrified. “Sweet Gray.” Said the voice once more. He spun around. “No it can’t be!” He thought as he stared into the distance at a young woman holding a new born baby. Beside her a man stood with sweeping, black, jagged hair scraping across the back of his neck. Both of them had their backs turned to Gray, The woman’s hair was a beautiful chocolate brown that swung both healthy and smoothly down her back in a loose pony tail. It reached all the way to the center of her back. Gray stood there in awe. “It couldn’t be.” Sweat began to drip off of his temples. “Mom?” He whispered. He then looked at the tall, dark headed man once more. He took a deep breath and began to walk forward. “What has my life been up until now? Just a dream?” Tears welled up in his eyes. “Is dad really still around?” His heart began to race. “NO, NO,NO!” Gray screamed on the inside. “It is much more logical that this is the dream!” He gritted his teeth. “After all that woman is holding a baby!” Electricity shot through his body. He felt a tingling sensation in his arms. He held one of them in front of his face and in pure terror he saw it starting to glitch in and out in square bits as if it was a video game. “What in the ever living fuck?!” He thought with the upmost fear coursing through him. He then tried to call out to the couple resembling his very parents. “MOM!” His voice would not come out.He then tried to step forward but his legs felt like they were filled with cement. “I Can’t move!” He struggled once more. “I can’t fucking move!!! Why can’t I move?!” It was no use. His legs would not budge. “Moth…” Gray tried desperately yo utter the word “Mother.” However, no matter how hard he strained, his voice just would not come out. He then grabbed his throat. He was filled with pure terror. All he could was watch helplessly as he strained his body with all of his might as the image of the people before him began to fade. The effort was useless. His conscious was whimpering. He felt single tear drop run down his face. As it fell from his jaw, it glitched out of the white world before hitting the ground. “The man!” Gray strained again. “I have to see if that man is truly my father!” He then felt his body begin to fade in and out. “NO!!!” He screamed inside of his head. All of a sudden, his neck felt loose. He felt a familiar warm energy engulf his whole body. As he began to fade away, along with the warmth he was feeling came the unthinkable. His ears were pierced with a somehow familiar voice. He turned his head and in shock witnessed the man stroking Beth’s hair as he said in the kindest voice, my precious Gray . You have no idea How great your destiny is.” He then pierced Gray with his bright yellow eyes. “What is this familiar feeling.” Gray. “The sun.” He mumbled still in awe. “Not just any sun but one that warms my soul. as if it has been there my whole life!” He thought amazed and uplifted at the same time. The man’s hair swept in slow motion across his kind subtle smile, as if it were indeed a dream. Gray reached out but the man was already gone, and he took the warmth with him. He turned back to his mother who was now facing him. As she began to fade Gray got a good look at the baby she was holding. He could tell right away it was him. “Now do you see Gray? The warmth that disappeared from our lives?” She stepped forward. “I understand now I should of never blamed Elias. The man who stood before you. Gray could see right through her now as she lightly stroked his cheek. “It’s okay if you don’t understand right now sweetheart. Because someday soon you will. Gray reached out but all disappeared right in front of his eyes, including himself. And then all turned to black.
