Sitting silently in a chair did we rest,
Bitter resentment forming in our chest,
Fighting silently we did our best,
Laughing it off as if in jest.
When came a blinding light from our left,
Then out jumped the shadow from our head,
Clashing brilliantly did they test,
Would one win or be left for dead.
When offered the sight to see the quest,
They would move forward as if linked by thread,
Light and shadow no longer oppressed,
Enjoying the moment for they both had bled.
Taking some time for us once obsessed,
Saved from waters that we once had fled,
Finding how much we truly are blessed.
To have light and shadow at our behest,
Awakened by hands falling from the breast,
Believing our form was once possessed,
Only to fall back into our head,
Give us some time we need some rest.
