We watched as it grew
and
Wanted to see where it would go.
We made a comittment to see it through.
We took from it at our leisure.
We sat back and watched as it soared and spread.
It became to much
But it still grew and gave us what we needed
Eventhough
We didn’t tend it, take care of it or nurture it.
Slowly, it began to die until there was nothing left
But the sad remnants of what it used to be/ could have been.
