Curtains.
A simple curtain can be helpful,
Blocking out the pain
On a rainy day
Or helping not to show the pain
On one’s face.
When they’re closed the neighbors don’t question
Whether or not something awful could be
Happening on the inside
Because it’s normal
To have curtains
But is it normal
To have curtains
hideaway
Something abnormal
Lurking in the dark.
