People are born, some grow up, make a family, make friends, go to school, get a job, start a career, build relationships and contribute to society. Some people make wrong choices, realise later and take a better course during the latter. There are others who choose to do very bad things during their life. The vast majority make right choices and do good with fewer errors. Some are poor and struggle through life with little or nothing. The rich build and some exploit wonderful opportunities. After all this, every living person will take their last breath-what next?
“I don’t know” is not an answer, because there is a lesson for everything. Scientists have explained creation and the worlds existence and people have believed. Science explains the dying process and decomposition, what does science say about what comes next at the end of life once decomposition is complete? The buck is passed to religion and serves as an excuse to cover up the fact that science cannot explain this any further.
Numbers of sources support the truth in God, that there is life after the body dies (Hebrews 9:27; John 11:25) however, resist from drawing any conclusion that affirms this. Miller explains her findings, that people who were hospitalized and lost brain activity, their heart also stopped beating yet, they were able to return after resuscitation and tell stories of near death experiences. The accounts of those who came back from the dead includes, witnessing what was happening in the room though being revived. One of the people mentioned by Miller, spoke about shoes placed on a window ledge during the time the body was dead and being resuscitated. Various other studies validate the ‘Near Death Experience’ and confirms that there is a departing of the soul to another place after death.
Contrary to believing there is another life after death, it is believed that decomposition aids the final stage which is entrance into the ecosystem. Costandi, draws a very close connection between decomposition and the ecosystem and further suggests that, all matter hence humans included, are subject to the laws of thermodynamics. Therefore, it was concluded that once dead and decomposed, humans are recycled for the benefit of other living things.
