I see fire and, I remember the passion you sent through me. I see the way you sent my engulfed my entire body into flames with a single touch or kiss. I see fire, and I remember the way my blood boiled when you were threatened or harmed.
I see the wind blowing the trees and, I remember the way the wind blew through your hair on those carefree days when we explored all of God’s creation. I see the wind sway the trees side to side and I remember the way you made my knees weak.
I watch the sky turn dark and I remember the way you turned dark on me too.
I watch a light flipped off and on again and I remember how my light never came back on.
You never came back to me.
I never felt the knee-buckling weakness again.
