Feeling good today.
Rare for me to say.
Not sure why, but I’ll take it.
Nice not to be in the pit.
Think things will be good.
Well at least they should.
I’ll go off to my job soon.
Before long it will be noon.
The end of the week.
I’m not feeling meek.
Wish everyone could feel this.
It’s a feeling that I miss.
Wish that I knew how,
I feel so good now.
But that is not a complaint,
I will thank whichever saint,
made me feel this way,
on this winter day.

I love the easy-going flow of this poem, and I can relate to this more than you know. Those calm, zen days are especially rare, and like you mentioned, I’m always wondering: What makes these 24 hours different – and more important, how can I repeat it?
I’m very glad you liked it. Thank you for the feedback! 🙂
