Fourteen and you thirteen
Neighbors we were
Across our yards each seen
Both shy, even then hearts stir
Long hot summer days
Two lives in each other found enrichment
Behind our houses lay
Field for development
Only weeds and grass
Unknown then, there precious memories to last
and for us it became a field of dreams
An only child
Parents fighting
You a sister three the attention she
Looking back, I think God gave us each other
And the field of dreams
No merry-go rounds
No slides to climb or tire swings
High grass we’d run leaps and bounds
Wallow down that grass lay and talk
Even lay the grass and weeds as rooms a house
Times tears our parents, others laughter each other mock
For us a whole another world, field of dreams
We’d play tag, both run till we give out
Talk and dream about our lives. How it might be
Then get up again, hide and seek
Those weeds tall round a-bout’
You told me if ever a child never attention need
I said my child will never see parents fight
We both dreamed while teary eyed
That field of dreams give us both hope
And a taste of love in two young hearts deep
Today paused now houses, but I still saw two teens
Tears as you and that field of dreams happiness once known!

You definitely get style points. I see where you are experimenting with the placement of words and most of the time the lines are quite poetic, but at times for me a little confusing. I think about your final lines and some in between and I don’t really get what you’re trying to say. I love it though, I just would like a little more clarity. If you were trying to do something that I am not aware of ignore this comment.
No, you’re right ..this comment i get often, hope I can learn to fix, thanks.
