I think sometimes we love too much.
We put all our faith in someone and love them with all our hearts.
we forget that at any moment in time they could change their mind.
We forget to take a step back and think to ourselves, maybe they don’t love us as much as we love them.
As hopeless romantics we tend to give ourselves to the ones we love.
Not just a part of our selves, we make the mistake of investing every ounce of our souls into a relationship, into a person, into loving them and trying our hardest to make them see us the way we see them.
we lose ourselves in the investment and we get hurt the worst in the long run.
But somehow, we keep going back for more.
Almost like we enjoy the suffering.
We get off on the hurting.
We crave the pain.
If you’ve ever felt this way,
Welcome to the Hopeless Romantics,
On Wednesdays we wear no pants.
Because pants are for squares.

This ending actually made me laugh, I was definitely not expecting it! I like how such a serious piece has a lighthearted ending, almost like the narrator can laugh at themselves for being a hopeless romantic. I like all the points you made here; I definitely fit into this club.
