Free Editing Services

Noahwriting offers free editing services. Our free basic editing service is available to only registered users of Noahwriting.com. Once you post your writing to the website, you can fill out an online request form that will be sent to our editors. While we encourage you to post on Noahwriting.com for general suggestions and encouragement from our passionate users, this service will dive deep into your writing and offer more in-depth improvements.

You will receive your edits within one week of submitting your paper or story.

There are two different editing routes under our free Basic Editing package: Academic Writing and Creative Writing.

Academic Writing Editing will include:

• Correcting spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors
• Noting improper language and poor word choice
• Noting awkward sentence structure
• Noting an abundance or lack of quotes from primary and/or secondary sources
• Brief explanation of the proper use of MLA or APA format
• Review of your Works Cited Page for proper format, using one example from your paper
• Review of your in-text citations for proper format, using one example from your paper

Creative Writing Editing will include:

• Correcting spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors
• Checking for problems in parallelism, tense, and conjugations
• Noting improper language and poor word choice
• Noting awkward sentence structure
• General help from an editor skilled in either poetry or prose
• General overview of what is and is not working in the piece like dialogue, descriptions, characterization, imagery, line structure, and voice

Comprehensive Editing Services
$35 for 500 words or less
$40 for 500 – 2000 words
$45 for 2000 words or more
$50 for a personalized, in-depth Skype workshop with one of our editors

Noahwriting offers comprehensive editing services to anyone at a discount rate. As a nonprofit organization, Noah Education Fund does not receive any proceeds from this service. All fees collected from this service will go to our editors. Email [email protected] and request one of our editing service attaching a copy of your writing. Add a brief description of what genre it is and specify which editing service you’re looking for.

• Revising sentences that don’t make sense
• Revising wordy or awkward sentence structure
• References check
• Noting an abundance or lack of quotes from primary and/or secondary sources
• Examples of the proper use of MLA or APA format, if needed
• Reworking your Works Cited page into proper format and alphabetization, if needed
• Reworking in-text citations to fit proper MLA or APA standards, if needed
• Full explanation of every major edit
• A focus on any specific aspect(s) of your paper that you request

Creative Writing Editing will include:

• One page, single-spaced summary sheet explaining the changes made to the document
• Correcting spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors
• Checking for problems in parallelism, tense, and conjugations
• Improving transitions and flow
• Improving language and style
• Eliminating improper language and poor word choice and replacing it with better alternatives
• Revising sentences that don’t make sense
• Reworking wordy or awkward sentence structure
• Specific help from an editor skilled in either poetry or prose
• Ensuring the piece maintains a consistent style
• Line-by-line edits
• In-depth overview of dialogue, descriptions, and characterization in your prose
• In-depth overview of imagery, line structure, diction, tone, and voice in your poem
• A focus on any specific aspect(s) of your story that you request
