I want to talk about Jesus with you
It’s true
but I understand that you don’t see a need to
you don’t see a reason
though I might mention a place that’s bad and good
a place of eternal horror and a place eternal grace
you think why is this person delaying my day
you can’t see that I care
I really don’t want you to go there
to suffer
why
because I didn’t speak
or because you didn’t listen
so I sit here and type
hoping you hear this mic
clickety clack
the keys make noise
do you hear
will you listen
the clock on life only glistens
the grass wears out
the weeds come in
a child came named Jesus to save us from our sins
but you say why
why does it matter
how could God care of my matter
but if He does
then won’t you see
if He does
sending prophets, prophets, and prophets to speak His words
then sending His only son to die for you and me
I’m not saying you got to wake up
But if you don’t, you’ll die in a rut
rich or poor, suffer forever,
not even accepting sin weighing on us like chains making clatter
walking or running or driving to church
or ignoring it all to plead humanism
but it doesn’t matter
there’s a great judgment
and there’s a time for it that won’t be delayed
and would you ignore my plea that you’d wake up today?
We’re guilty
we’re wrong
the heart is desperately wicked
that heart brings no good songs
realize your a sinner
realize you can’t work yourself a saint
realize God loves you so much
God doesn’t want you remain that way
realize God is real
He’s straight up
He’s true
He may be brilliant, but you know he’ll break it down for you
Acknowledge the sin
Acknowledge the wicked heart
Acknowledge God’s grace to give us a new heart
Acknowledge God’s love to send His only son
Acknowledge God’s love that allowed His son’s sacrifice to cover us like a blanket
For there ain’t no remission of sin without the shedding of blood
And I’m telling you on this mic
that’s Jesus, that’s Jesus,
His life, His blood, His mercy, His love,
but hey, you don’t want to take it
guess you’re thinking you can always do it better than the expert
but hey, you ain’t got no virgin birth.

I grew up going to Catholic school, and then I went to a public college. It’s amazing how many people of different religions, including agnostics and atheists that you meet, and while they maybe not believe in the same Heaven you do, I think it’s important to remember that God is merciful. We only turns people away who actively go against him, not those of other religions. And furthermore, I think it’s more important to Him that people are good, whether they’re aware of him on Earth or not.
