Hold your head up this world is not your home
Once a child my thoughts are now grown
Imagine the babes who all were disowned
Struggling for life remember the Valley of Bones
Nothing is promised without a condition in stone
Inscripted made permanent when broken there’s groans
Gnashing of teeth He was accepted in Rome
He took all our grief and rejected His own
God’s willing if no one responds to your moans
Keep your head up you’re never alone

I love the last line of your poem, “Keep your head up you’re never alone”. It sounds beautiful and makes the reader think deeply. Thank you for sharing!
?Thank you for reading.
I love your optimism in all your poems. I think that through all the difficult times in life whatever that may look like, there is this universal faith that hope will light our days. Isn’t it so funny how despite the diverse circumstances of difficulties, happiness and hope are universal and similar in nature?
Hi Anna, thank you for reading them all! We do have a diverse world with so many problems, that thank God, they all have a resolution. Happiness and hope differ in my opinion, as happiness must be sought out by us and the dictionary defines hope as “a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen”. I would link hope to believing. I certainly agree with you, that they are both universal.
It;s very apt,Hope is not alone God’s there if not any one else, Optimism keeps one going. You rightly and cutely depicted it.I like it “Favoured”
