I Remember
By: Gen1900
Everywhere I looked a memory of you inched its way into my head. I remember his laugh that boomed in the room after a funny commercial. The way his shoulders chuckled as he read Garfield comics.
This Christmas was hard without him. A void no one could fill. Yet he’s looking down on us from above; smiling with friends who had wings.
It’s been half a year; it seems almost like yesterday. The tears that spring from of eyes tell: my heart is not completely full.
I’ll always remember you, Grandpa. I’ll never forget.
