Much of this writing is copied from the Bible, Psalms 22. Many believe Psalms 22 is a prophetic writing of Jesus and His suffering on the cross and I also tend to believe this way.
My God, my God
why hast thou forsaken me
I cry in the day
but thou hearest me not
and not silent the night season
of Israel thou inhabitest the praises
our fathers trusted in thee
and thou didst deliver them
trusted thee and were not confounded
but I am a worm and no man
despised of people, a reproach of men
yet I know to trust in thee.
All they that see me laugh
and to scorn as they shoot out their lip
they shake their head
saying he trusted in the Lord
thou art thee that took me from the womb
hope when on my mother’s breast
many bulls have compassed me
strong bulls of Bashan
these also beset me round
as a ravenous roaring lion
they gaped on me with their mouths
He trusted on the Lord that He would deliver Him.
I am poured out like water
all my bones are out of joint
as one they enjoy the slaughter
my heart is like wax
melted in the midst of my bowels
my strength is dried up like a potsherd
and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws
am brought into the dust of death
for dogs have compassed me
assembly of the wicked enclosed me
they have pierced my hands and feet
O Lord: O my strength haste thee to help me.
I may tell all my bones
as they look and stare upon
among them they part my garments
upon my vesture cast lots
deliver my soul from the sword
my darling from the power of the dog
thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns
save me from the lion’s mouth
I will declare thy name oh my God
ye that fear the Lord
and the afflicted He neither despised or abhorred
trust in Him and declare His righteousness!
