In a Nightmare
In a swirl, round in round like a roller coaster in endless loop
Darkness being shined, turning to color
Pink, yellow, white, red, blue, brown, color struck my eyes as I looked around the fairytail
I stood up, many attractions to visit as a tourist
Lollipops, candycanes, sugary sweets
All of these things I desired to eat
I fell into a chocolate swamp, filled with Swedish Fish
The gas tank ran out of my body, chocolate filling up
I then opened my eyes, in bed
That had been no ordinary fantasy

“I fell into a chocolate swamp, filled with Swedish Fish” – my favorite line!
As an aspiring diabetic, I find this very offensive. (just kidding!). I love the sweet sick imagery, nightmarish for sure – yet somehow, like scratching at an itch, that both pains and feels good at the same time – oddly dreamlike, in a floating pleasurable way….
