She’s a death drop when my heart falls into my stomach
She’s an anchor when the sadness just sinks into the bottom of my soul
She’s a nightmare when I can’t escape her in sleep.
You haunt mind with your laughter
I remember your slashed arms & now those are my injuries too
I’m unwilling to go but this time I know
Forgiveness isn’t a prayer away
No radical act love can deactivate this perimeter
You’ve brought your soldiers, you’ve been given the bomb
A false sense of security
A manifesto of lights & confusion
On this empty night, I’m only left to wonder why.
