A weary gaze finds her Moon
And slowly breaks to cry
For Moon’s likeness awakens my tenderness
For the One I adore
Who can know a longing like this?
Longing for a Precious Host seen?
And knowing He’s a ray apart
From the thirsting lips of her heart?
Mother lays Her Pure Womb bare
A monstrance glowing white
The world sees abroad as magical
And takes magic as its end
Who will finally see Her Son?
Placidly smiling His Light?
Then souls will crave a Mass’s Feast
And adore His Glorious Body?
The Moon I see is gentle remembrance
Of my Love so intimate
Hiding in the Maternal Mantle
Of a Virgin gorgeous
And will my heart cease to weep?
When visit me He does?
Lost in a Heavenly Embrace come true
No longer a ray apart?
