Her eyes glowed within the sun. They were mixed with light circles of fatigue and a beauty that radiated from her dark smooth skin down to her nicely painted toes. All that melanin made me sing inside especially as she would kiss me at night and whisper, “Oh James, you are all that I need.”
That morning was simply like no other. We woke up from a good night of passionate, intense, steamy hot love making and cuddled until she decided to get out of bed and make me some good old scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes on the side. Something about that morning was different; I felt a complete change. Was I falling in love? Was I falling for the woman people warned me to stay away? The woman that I was told was not worth my time, not knowledgeable about a thing, and wasn’t elevated in the mind for a woman her age? Was I falling for the woman no one seemed to understand? A woman misconstrued and deeply misunderstood.
I walked downstairs into the kitchen and there she was- 5’6″ tall, with hair that fell to her shoulders and big eyes that made me melt inside. I stood there from a distance just taking in all of her beauty. To me she was perfect. Beautifully molded with a touch of elegance that was so rare in this day of age. Why no one seemed to have the slightest interest, was something I wish I understood. To me she was everything I dreamed of, innocent to the eyes, but guilty in a way that only her and I truly knew and understood. The way her body moved in front of the kitchen stove and the way she paid attention to the smallest of details, was proof that she was a woman of growth and knowledge.
Eventually after standing there mesmerized by her innocence for over 5 minutes, she sensed my aroma and turned with a smile that proved that she simply enjoyed my presence. She needed me and had yearned for a relationship that let her be herself with no judgement.
“Breakfast is almost ready” she said as she walked up and kissed me on the cheek. I sat down at the kitchen table as she placed two plates for the both of us to eat. She still had the flower scent from last night mixed with a scent of sweat and lust- a scent so pure and clean that smelled amazing coming from a woman like her.
Last night she stopped by my apartment crying feeling as though all of her hard work seemed to be going in vain. All of the event planning, the deal making, while working full time at a fortune 500 company did not seem to be rewarding. For a woman, I understood things can get so complex in this day in age trying to plant a seed into this world. She didn’t seem to see it, but I did. All of her hard work was not going unnoticed. I saw it, the people who envied her, saw it. They tried to belittle her only because they knew something about her was very special. She was no ordinary woman, she was truly one of kind. A vessel created perfectly in the eye of the most high with a heart that no one seemed to understand. She is a true blessing to those who had the opportunity to know her and I thank God almighty everyday that I decided to go against all odds and take a chance at this innocent seed. I would have missed out on the best thing that’s ever happened to me if I had believed in what others thought they seen; the chance to be with the best thing that was going to take over the world. A flower grown in between the rocks and a diamond more precious than gold.
Breakfast was finally ready as she placed the scrambled eggs and pancakes on our plates. From the window, I could see the beautiful colors of the trees signaling that fall was finally among us. She grabbed two empty glasses and a carton of orange juice and placed them by our plates with a smile. Falling in the love in the fall was like falling into a pile of scattered leaves just to feel the crunch in between your skin. This love that was growing felt more than just a feeling, it was a feeling that was taking over my entire body. She sat next to me and grabbed my hand as I took a bite of the scrambled eyes. This feeling inside was like no other. It was like I was floating in the clouds falling in a lake of lust. Everything about her made me smile and everything about her made me feel at home. It’s like I knew her for my whole life even though we’ve known each other for 3 years now.
I couldn’t contain my excitement as she touched my arms kissing the top of my hand looking at me as I took another bite of her scrambled eggs. Not only was she beautiful to the eyes, but she was an absolute amazing cook. Her mother definitely taught her well making me fall for her even more.
There was no words coming out of our mouths but just smiles and giggles. We enjoyed breakfast in silence taking in that peaceful moment. There are only a few people in this world you could be in a room without saying a word and still enjoy their company. And if that is the case, that person is worth your wild and someone you should hold on and cherish forever.
We both finished our plates and slowly got up from our seats heading into the living room. I grabbed her by the waist bringing her closer into my arms looking into the depths of her beautiful brown eyes. I never told her this before but I knew, it was time. It was the moment she had probably been waiting for a very long time. She probably didn’t expect I would say this since yesterday’s evening didn’t start off so great for her. She had been crying while inside, I was dreaming of having her in my arms for the rest of my life. Having her soft hands caress all over my body as I kissed her lips to her neck down to her stomach. Her body was like my playground ready to be touched -ready to be played.
She threw her arms over my shoulders as I pulled her closer into my embrace. This woman was too perfect for words to truly explain. I pulled her closer; deeper into my embrace kissing the tip of her small little nose while then moaning into her ears. Love in the fall was too sweet. I looked at her as she looked back at me while I whispered “I love you baby, I don’t ever want you to think you are worthless because you are certainly one of a kind.” Tears formed into her eyes as she whispered back, “I love you too” burying her head in my shoulders and then lifting her to head to empower over my lips as our bodies fell onto my brown living room couch. As much as I wanted to avoid this feeling, I simply could not. I was in love with this woman and wanted to be with no one else but her. A woman that made falling in love in the fall the best thing that could ever happen to me. The best thing that would change our lives forever.
