Assumptions
Those I strive so hard
Not to have –
Yet, there it is,
Truth be told
These assumptions.
How to temper my curiosity,
My wants, needs…
Desires
With the concepts of time.
What has not been discovered,
Known
Before…
How foolish I must seem
To one or the other
Either way.
What of this heart?
Human.
What would I ask then
Of a teacher
More so than
The lessons I’ve learned
From
the ones I’ve been given.
