"Meadow and Thicket"
Walking in a meadow.
Tall grasses golden brown.
Flowers blooming.
Blue skies, a warm sun.
Trickling of water.
A narrow stream,
it winds across the land.
Crouching down, fish.
Dark brown and grey,
quick, they dart.
A salamander too.
Following the creek,
to a thicket of trees,
birds are singing.
A shady place to sit,
and listen to their song.
After some hours,
squirrels at play,
nearing sunset,
on a perfect day.
