she sits on the
train, eyes fatigued
and lacking passion.
her hands lay obediently on her lap,
wishing to not disturb master.
her face wears the same lethargy
that has become oddly familiar to me,
carrying burdens that only those
who are wise enough can identify and understand.
her travels are acknowledged only by the ancestors,
as they are the ones guiding her on this journey.
may she find her peace, Lord knows she deserves.
