Modesty

Modesty is like a jewel.
It’s like a shiny pearl in an oyster shell.
You find it on a beach near or far away.
You hope to keep it clean and spotless almost every day.

It boggles my mind that you don’t realize how judgmental and unnecessarily deprecating you are. Stop pushing your beliefs onto other people. We’re all trying to build each other up and support each other and talk about WRITING and you just love tearing people down who are different from you. Stop.
I agree with this point. Also, this isn’t really a poem but you stating an opinion in a format which tricks the reader into thinking it is a poem. NoahWriting is a community for writers to share their works with others – not a sounding board. Merely stating opinions are for sites like Twitter or Reddit so I would recommend one of those if you are going down that route.
Dear readers,
I am not trying to degrade anyone. My stories have Catholicism in them because I am one. If I ever get a story published it will be Catholic oriented. I am not trying to force anything on you. I’m showing you what Catholics feel and a good example. I give big thumbs up to writers out there. I have a puzzle for you: It seems today Catholics are having things they don’t believe are right shoved down our throats. But we should just accept it. I’m just trying to shine a positivity on the negative SOMETIMES are portrayed on us. Good luck everyone. Keep writing!!!
A great description for modesty – ‘a shiny pearl in an oyster shell.’
Thank you very much!
Very well said. It’s a virtue to be grown carefully lest it is lost. Once lost its for ever lost like integrity. I like it repeated several times …….. kranand
Thank you!
