"My Voice"

I will speak against the wrong.
I will speak up for what’s right.
I will not change my mind.
Heaven’s in my sight.
I will not change the truth
To fit the world’s opinion,
For my heart and my soul
Are both God’s dominion.
I am not afraid to speak the truth.
I will not speak for lies.
I have not a thing to lose –
Only time can pass me by.
If the world wishes to change who I am,
They can hear my words and understand
That if I am to change,
I will change for the good,
I won’t rearrange
What others misunderstand or misunderstood.
I will not be silenced.
I will not be quieted.
I will not be made mute
By thousands of those who have rioted.
My voice is loud.
My voice is clear.
I will speak with confidence,
And I will speak without fear.
God is on my side.
My voice is His with which to speak.
I will be different. I am unique.
