Education is a form of power. It helps determine what colleges you will get into, what jobs you might have and so many more things. That is why education is so important to everyone. The only problem is that not all children have equal access to education. Not all kids can go to school and feel safe. Some of these problems might relate back to sicknesses or bullying. That is why online learning is becoming more known. Online learning gives more educational options for students who don’t feel safe in school. Even though online learning is not for everyone’ it should always be a choice for people who don’t have an option. Online learning shouldn’t be mandatory, but should always be given as an opportunity for people who want it.
Not having access to the power of knowledge shouldn’t be a problem, everyone should be able to read, write and do math. Online learning gives us this opportunity, in fact it increases the graduation rate of all students {Barnum}. So even though some students can’t physically be in class at least they have the opportunities of students who are in a classroom. Even though these experiences might not be quite like a real classroom experience, it gives students more options and flexibility they didn’t have before in their learning. That might be why in recent years online learning classes are becoming more and more popular. Online learning gives not only young students opportunity but also provides adults learning experiences to help them in their lives while they balance jobs and other busy schedules. It would be extremely unfortunate to lose this learning outlet and to have all of these learning opportunities dismissed. So even if online learning isn’t your favorite, or first choice, it might be one of the only choices some people have to an endless opportunity of learning.
Mental health is a big part of learning, being able to understand how to fail and then move on from mistakes and take new chances. Yet, not all mental health in school revolves around your ability to learn how to fail, and instead relates to bullying. Bullying might seem funny in cartoons but it does take quite a toll on all students’ health. Unfortunately, bullies are always going to be associated in school no matter how hard we try to prevent them. Online learning gives students a way to escape these bullies, in fact almost a quarter of students doing online learning are doing online learning because of bullies {Taking}. Learning at home gives students affected by bullies the freedom of learning safely, and not being hurt menatlly of physically. It also gives students safe opportunities to learn without having to go through unsafe areas. That is why online learning is such an important doorway for students who want an education but their mental health stops them from being able to reach the heights they want to.
Some people believe that online learning should not be used because it doesn’t allow students to build social skills. This is a reasonable position, however, online learning allows students to have day jobs while still going to school which can be extremely important. Some of these students might be adults who need jobs to support them or their family. Online learning allows them to have this crucial job and an education to improve their life. Not to mention, having online learning means that you don’t need to use a bus, taxi, train, subway ect. as frequently to get to school. This can also help people who have to go through bad areas of town to get to school, because they won’t have to get to school. Furthermore, online learning improves students abilities to navigate and use technology. These skills would be useful in the future by helping them know how to use computers which are becoming bigger and bigger parts of our lives daily. So even though there are some cons, online learning is a very important part of some people’s lives and allows them to have an education while balancing a busy schedule.
Even though online learning may not be everyone’s favorite and it might not be for you, it is for some people. Online learning is an option and shouldn’t be forced upon students, but should most definitely not be eliminated from everyone. Online learning is an opportunity for people who can’t go to school, and provides a safe education away from threats to students. Online learning helps create learning skills and may be the best solution for those who struggle with traditional schools.
