Rumors and gossip blaze like a wildfire amidst high winds carried by sparks and embers of misfortune and hurt, but every now and then some rumors are true!
Heard through the grapevine
gossip is usually a mountain of lies
found untrue in time
gossip the majority soon dies
rumors and gossip never halted my love
only rumors, I’ll try my luck
Didn’t take you long to bite
as an adder a deadly strike
poisoned by your love
for you not enough
and like a scorpion bright red
the sting more than a rumor ..near dead
Have you a conscience?
your case, rumors are true
gossip told wasn’t gossip
all to soon your unnameable attributes spew
I should have listened, I was told
rumors of you!
Judge a book by it’s cover ..absolutely
anyway something from you taught
rumors and gossip you proved resolutely
there was no fight even though I fought
I think next time rumors hear
rumors of you, truly beware!

A fantastic poem! I definitely believe in judging certain books by their cover. The cover is part of the whole package! And it has that cover for a reason, right?
Thank you truly and yes the cover is there for a reason, again thanks.
