I’m happy to say that I quit smoking half a year ago.
It’s been six months today since I last smoked tobacco.
When I was presented with the opportunity to quit, I decided to reach out and grab it.
All that I needed was some nicotine patches and faith in God to be able to kick the habit.
I quit smoking even though it’s not an easy thing to do.
If you’re a smoker who wants to quit, I believe in you.

I’m so happy, Randy, to respond to this good news. I stopped in the 60’s when everyone smoked. I was 3 packs a day of the PallMall Golds and I smoked them down to the butt. WARNING: It may take up to 5 years to cleanse your system so, be careful if the temptation comes. After two years off of cigarettes, I was at a party and yielded to temptation. Within a week I was back to 3 packs a day. I kicked it again and never went back. At the time I paid $3.25 A CARTON if you can believe it. It boggles the mind what is being charged today. It’s a tough road but the benefits are worth it. You’ll not ony save money but when you reach your golden years your complexion will defy your age. I just turned 80 and I still get remarks on how wrinkle-free my face is. That goes for alcohol also. Ciao, JT
Really happy to hear you gave up smoking, I gave it up 21 years ago!
I’m clean and sober now, I feel so much better now! I replied with my poem about sobriety, hope you like it!
I have other poems on here too, search under lightfootwon !
“Sobriety”
It took a long time before I could finally see
How cigarettes, drugs and alcohal had a hold on me
I struggled for years to break free
We all have problems to some degree
I pray someday you’ll find the key
Harmful choice’s has a fee
Still some will be lost at sea
Life has no guarantee
So be all you can be
Hope you agree with my plea
Sobriety is what we all should strived to see
