How wonderful it is, that you could pass a stranger by
Without taking second thought at the tear in their eye,
Or the crack in their smile, the hook turning their lip,
The bounce in their step, or the sway of their hip.
Imagine that there, in their blank somber stare
There is wonder and beauty and adventure to share
The simple, yet undeniable complexity
Is something that we cannot simply see.
Yet we must realize, without knowing who, what, where, or why
There is vibrancy behind every single pair of eyes
Knowing that each life is vivid and unique
Is what we define as Sonder, to speak.
Sonder is knowing what makes individuals similar, yet knowing all stories are unfamiliar.
Take care to observe the great lives of others
Though all of us have stories, we are each our own author.

You are very good at writing poetry. I really liked this one because it emphasizes the fact that everyone is unique in their own way, with their own special talents and ways of doing things. We, humans, are very emotional beings with very complex interiors. I like the last line in the poem, “though all of us have stories, we are each our own author.” You couldn’t have said it better. Great job!
Thanks so much!
