Everyone thinks they are special somehow
But they eventually learn the truth
What they think makes them spacial
Someone else can always do better
Think you can sing
listen to her album
Think you can dance
just look at her move
Think you can draw
take a look at her sketchbook
Think you can write
read her book
Think you are beautiful
she has won over 100 pagents
Nothing about you is truly special
The sooner you learn that the better
Because people will always compare you to that someone who is better

Sure someone will always be be better than you, but that doesn’t mean you’re not special. Special is relative to the person you’re talking to. I’m a writer, and my old roommate is a writer. She’s better, but that doesn’t mean we’re not both creating original work.
It’s also about your audience. My boyfriend can create the crappiest scrapbook about our relationship and give it to me, and that will be way more special to me than some random person making a third-party perspective scrapbook about our relationship.
The people who matter won’t be comparing you to someone who’s always better.
