Sweet apparition, a memories mist
Blinds the eyes and nullifies your clenched fist
No use fighting what was once “someday” known
No use lighting what was once overblown
Caught wind you had us under surveillance
Incognito, listening for cadence
No use denying what now hits home
No use holding hands observing the gloam
Made a pact to squelch the negative vibe
That continues to burden, stalk, and bribe
My thoughts are in the moment, drawn like ice
That melts away its troubles free from vice
Sweet apparition, you’ll never be far
Could have had more but you settle for par.
