The was once a boy named Richard who tried his hand at telling lies. Nobody knew they were lies and he thought he got away with it. At school he bragged to some other boys about his conquest. They formed a club, and practiced lying on each other until they were certain of their expertise. They thought to themselves, we need a game plan, so they decided to move on to greater actions.
Next they began trespassing on private property, and again nobody challenged them. This made them even bolder and they decided to stage a grown up invasion, kind of like a war game. To their surprise they were able to rifle around in other people’s vehicles unimpeded.
Unbelievably delighted, the club’s excitement was almost at a frenzy. They hatched a plan that they thought was foolproof. Carrying gas cans, they snuck inside someone’s back door thinking the most evil of thoughts. When they encountered a child they told her that her mother was dead. To their dismay the treasure was bolted down, and there was not a loose weapon to be found anywhere. Their plan to kill the mother with her own weapon and then burn down the house with the gas was foiled by two bolts drilled into the cement. Needless to say they were angry, but they would have to get their revenge another day. Too many witnesses. They began to question how smart their plan was originally. And then…
One by one they realized that the mother had known their plan all along, bolted down the treasure, taught her children to run when threatened, alerted the neighbors ahead of time, and arranged for even more witnesses that didn’t even live nearby.
How did she know? Nobody in the club knew. All they knew was that she had made them look stupid for the last time. Never again would she go unpunished.
And that is the beginning of the story, the middle will have to wait for another day.

This is a great concept, but I’d really like you to show me some more scenes rather than tell me. For example, how did they practice lies on each other. Describe!
