Stare into the sunset now, and tell me what you see
I see a land of orange and red, shining back at me.
Look closer now, between the lines, and show me what you view.
I see a painted crimson streak, and a shade of purple hue.
Look to the cloudscape now and see, the way the sun paints freely,
I see the clouds all dressed up nice, like rich guests at a party.
They dance to the music of the evening breeze, thier colored dresses flowing bright.
The sun, she paints the picture there, in her fiery, colored light.
I see it now, the clouds of paint, they dance upon the breeze.
Thier colered clothes are beautiful, and thier movement seems to freeze.
Thier dace is slow and wistful, see, as they dance the song of time,
They hold no pattern save the win, as they dance upon the horizon line.
The sun is falling now I see, and the dance is nearly over
the clouds will drift in blissful sleep, the starry sky they cover.
The stars come out to sing thier song, of thier twinkling, angels bright
Until the sun gets up from bed, and shines her flaming light.
And then, my friend, the clouds will wake, and dance to song agian.
They’ll dance in sunlight’s golden glow, until the day comes to an end.
