Sapphire eyes like glistening stars, reflect a world apart,
Reflect a world of hopefulness, and a shining, vigorous heart.
They are like pools of water deep, two chilling wells of life,
Oh how I wish to leap inside, it drives my mind to strife.
Such depth have they, these glittering pools,
with power and soul alike,
they are like the pools of the outer wood,
in a land that has no like.
I long to put on ring of gold, and fly away to them,
and look into these eyes of blue, which then stare back at me.
The sight of them gives me a start, and my heart leaps in my chest,
like a deer that runs the trail head, for he knows that way is best.
They make me shiver in my boots, like a child scared and shy,
and yet they give me power and strength, and a want to joyously cry.
I look into the eyes I see, the ones that turn my heart
I hope to look into them long, before I must depart.
