Oh Divine Light,
With all Your love,
With all Your might,
I begin to bloom in sight.
Oh Merciful One,
With your embrace,
And with Your Will,
I begin to rejoice in a place of grace.
Simply Love,
Simply True,
In my life,
I am only certain of You.
In the midst of dark thorns circling around my heart,
With ease and patience,
You tear the evil apart.
With every pain,
And through every hardship,
My faith strengthens…
in worship.
Oh Kind One,
Oh Patient One,
Without Your presence,
Without Your Blessings,
I am nothing but mere bones,
With a plastic heart…
made of stones.
A life without a holy intervention,
And a life without an honest conversation,
Is a life that has no real explanation.
Dear God,
I am nothing without Your guidance,
Without You, I have no purpose,
For you are my reliance.
For You do not promote my silence.
Through Your unconditional love,
And Your never-ending chances,
I manage to stay above.

Thanks for sharing this poem! I appreciate the message and the solemnity of the language. The tone is reminiscent of a psalm or a worship song. The rhythm and rhyming is skillfully, deceptively simple. I especially liked the way “reliance” and “silence” play off of each other. Great flow and use of language here, without verging into overly flowery.
Thank you!!! I appreciate the detailed review, I always aim to do my best in writing poetry 🙂
This is a work of deep humility… Know that God will bless you for this, dearest one.
