Prologue
After King Arthur and Merlin brought peace to Camelot, all was well. The villagers were happy, and the kingdom rejoiced.
But this tale is not that easy…
Years after the death of Arthur and many other noble kings, came a day when the queen gave her life for the birth of her son. And this boy was raised by his father, the king. As the years passed,
the boy grew to a man. But only in image. He was still as adolescent and selfish a person can be at his age of four and twenty.
The townspeople noticed as well. There was no more music and dancing in the town square. No more laughter, and no joy. No hope; it seemed. The only expressions seen on their faces were greif, and pain. Pain of fighting, pain of breathing, pain of living.
The knights of Camelot were constantly away from family and loved ones, fighting in meaningless battles against the enemy. In the young prince’s case, everyone who did not agree to his terms were the enemy. His father had gone to battle years ago, far away from Camelot. Although victorious, he had not returned since – leaving his only heir in charge. Little would he know, if he ever
returned; Camelot would be no more.
How evil can a prince be, you may ask?
A prince who changes the name of the land of their past generations. A name that which represents unity, honor, loyalty. Camelot. The new name of the once-honorable and prideful land was Alveria.
Alveria
In a way, it was suited better, now that the kingdom’s leader no longer stood for the medals of honor. Perhaps it was a good thing the name changed. Camelot would no longer distained by evil.
Currently, the selfish prince had led his knights into yet another battle. They were exhausted and lost many, despite having won – all in thanks to a certain noble knight. Respected as the prince’s
right-hand guard, he had the highest ranking below the king. Tired and senseless from days of ongoing battle, many were injured. Thankfully, Alveria had a renowned healer. A different healer of sort. Who had a mind of her own…
The healer.
Alveria’s only healer. A young beautiful woman, and gifted at that. She did not ask for it, nor did she want it. But she accepted it, and took to practice. Fate chose her, in more ways than one…
