There is one common piece of advice that you’ll hear above all others as you prepare to embark on your academic journey beyond high school: funding. Unfortunately, like many great things in life, higher education is something that costs a fair amount of money, but don’t let that discourage you from living the career of your dreams! We here at Noah Education Fund are going to provide you with four helpful tips and secrets to give you the best chance at landing some scholarships, so students like you, bursting with more potential than cash to spare, can stress a little less about the rising cost of higher education. Luckily for you, beginning the process of finding scholarships is as simple as following these few easy steps. After all, what college student doesn’t like free money?
Apply through generalized programs for students in need, such as our own scholarship opportunities. To begin, you can apply on Noah Education Fund’s main website, as this is just one of many examples of non-profit communities that want nothing more than to pave the way for the future generation of bright, prospering students such as yourself.
Find your niche and utilize this to the best of your advantage. For example, I was born with a relatively rare spinal defect known as Spina Bifida, something that isn’t so fortunate in the absolute sense. But just about any physical, societal, or mental disadvantage will actually work quite well in your favor when looking for scholarships. There really is a scholarship for just about everything out there, from creative writing to people with left hand dominance! It’s all a matter of finding the internships that are best suited to you as an individual, and to apply as soon as possible, even if it doesn’t seem likely that you will be selected. After all, you miss 100 percent of the chances you do not take!
Make heavy use of websites such as scholarships.com. These websites allow companies from across the globe to advertise their scholarships, which means that not every single opportunity will be 100% legitimate, so buyer beware, and make sure to do your homework before handing out any extremely pertinent info to a potentially shady company.
Remember, it’s about quality, not quantity! Copy and pasting the same exact cover letter and resume may land you a scholarship or two if you happen to be extremely lucky, but in the long run, you would be much better off actually reading what the organization and corporation is looking for from their applicants. I know I said that whole thing about missing all shots you don’t take, but remember to be considerate of others’ time, as well as your own.

These are really great tips. Thank you!
I would like to add that for those who are members of a church, check to see if your church will offer you a scholarship! When I went to college, I happened to see a little ad in the bulletin about how that church offers a $2000 scholarship, all you need to do is be part of the church (check) and write a brief statement about why you chose the college you did. I did that and was awarded the scholarship. It wasn’t a full ride but every little bit helps!
Additionally, keep an eye on deadlines and read requirements carefully!
