I’m on a road, and I am following it
It’s the road that leads me straight to you
I’m cruising down it like I own it
Oh, I really am acting as I do
In times I hoped to seek you out
In the world that I have been in
Looking like I’m forming a crowd
Like I’m going become what I’ve been
Over the road, I see a poor person
Maybe I’ll give him a dime or two
I’m not that full of cash but I can reason
Because that’s what God intended me to do
I am crossing the road
The road that leads me straight to you
I am looking to kick off my load
Because I’ve been tired since mile two
