Broken mistakes
from our perfect thoughts.
Dull words with no meaning.
A beautiful confusion
and powerful emotion.
A pure soul filled with
Anger and love for a hurtful body.
A shallow tear
from the golden sun.
And a broken heart
from where it all begun.
I wish I didn’t love him.
My body in shock from the stun.

Hi!
This is a really good piece. I love the abstract language, and how you’ve experimented with mood. Despite less concrete details, it isn’t confusing, so well done! It reminds me of poetry from the Modernist period, particularly the style of Edna St. Vincent Millay. Awesome job!
