Chapter VI:
“Oh! Sorry.” Ethan said, taking his arm off Liam and turning somewhat red.
“It’s okay, really. I understand. After all, we did escape those monsters together.” Liam explained.
“Okay.” Said Ethan, feeling a bit awkward.
“Anyways, what do you think the riddle could mean by ‘reverse more than several words’?” Liam asked.
“Ooh! I got it, I think it means to reverse a few sentences you jotted down with the pencil.” Ethan said.
“Of course! That makes so much sense, you’re a genius Ethan!” Liam said excitedly.
“Thanks.” Ethan said, blushing slightly from the compliment.
“Anytime! You’ve really helped crack the mystery behind other clues and more. I don’t know what I was doing when you weren’t guiding me.” Liam said.
He wrote on the paper with his new found knowledge of how to reverse a few words, “The school doors reverted back to normal, several things fixed beyond science broke again, and the pencil’s container vanished without a trace”.
“There! That should do it.” Liam said. He looked at the list and noticed a golden checkmark next to the first line of the puzzle.
“Wow! It actually worked. That’s awesome Liam, two more left to decipher.” Then a loud bang sounded from the door.
“Were you expecting company Ethan..?” Liam asked nervously.
“Uhh.. No.” Ethan said back, feeling a bit tense.
The door broke and people stormed into the room yelling, “GET THE PENCIL FROM LIAMMMM!”. Ethan and Liam grabbed each others hands at the same time, both turning a bit red from blushing slightly then started running after Liam grabbed the book and put the paper with the reversed sentences in his pocket along with the pencil.
“Liam, we gotta go!!!” Ethan yelled, sounding uneasily.
“Okay, okay! Let’s get outta here!!” Liam said. They ran up to the second floor and made their way to the roof. Liam fumbled with his pocket, trying to pry out the pencil and the paper. He got both of them out and wrote, “Liam and Ethan became experts at jumping across rooftops”.
“Liam! They’re almost here.” Ethan said a bit anxiously. Ethan was right, the mob of people were starting to climb up.
“We gotta jump, trust me on this. We can make it.” Liam said, trying to boost Ethan’s confidence. Ethan took a deep breath.
“Okay. Let’s do this.” He said a little shakily. They jumped to the next rooftop, ran and jumped to several new ones. Ethan stopped on the one they were on and said,
“Let’s stay here for a while.” Liam nodded and they sat there, nearly holding hands and wondering when the next attack from the insane people would happen again.
Authors note: Thank you all for reading this story! I try to post a new chapter and sometimes a poem or extra story Monday through Friday. In case of all if you whom are wondering how I release chapters, here is how I do so: Monday through Friday I work on a new chapter to the story (On Google Docs). I then review the chapter briefly and fix a few minor mistakes if there are any. Afterwards I’ll copy the chapter, paste it here then carefully go over the story and edit it and make changes to improve the story. I also accept feedback from the comments on each story and if needed, I’ll make the changes then change each chapter that has an error or more. Thanks you all for reading this amazing story!

It looks like a mob is after our hero now. I hope he can de-power that pencil soon.
