Crying inside
Feeling dead
Yet still alive
I keep trying
For acceptance
Instead of
Being neglected
But in their eyes
Reflected all I am
To them is phlegm
Constantly discredited
Never respected
Never accepted
Never valued enough
I covet their love
Sometimes I’d
Rather just fly
High above
Up in the sky
To ask God
Why
Couldn’t I
Be saved from
The depraved
Being history
Freed from misery
Nobody’s missing me
Fading from pain
My family gave
They’re killing me
Burying me
Into my grave

Thanks for sharing! Real quick edit: I think you meant “I’d” or “I would” at the end of line 9, as in “I’d rather fly”.
I apologize for the late response. Thank you for the review i appreciate it. Also, thank you for reading my work.
No worries! The emotion here is raw and real. Sometimes it just takes a second pair of eyes to catch tiny mistakes.
So true, greatly appreciated !
